I have been on tysabri close to 3 years now. Doing well on it. As a matter of fact I now get infusions every 6 weeks inplace of every 4 weeks. My MRI come back with no new plaques, my only problem seems to be fatigue. I'm sure part of that is MS but part could be age. You just have to remain optimistic.

Took Tysabri for a total of 12 times. Initially, thought it may be working for me. I seemed stronger, but after a few infusions, started getting infections. Impetigo,Staph Aureus, &sinus infections. My arms&legs got weaker&was fatigued more often than before. At last infusion was not able to walk had to use WC. Coming off Tysabri was rough. In hospital 4 times&suffered 2 flare ups, respiratory problems including pneumonia & cellulitis. Later blood clots. Benefits did not outweigh risks for me.

I have been on Tysabri since May of 2008 I have only had one flare while on this medication. It is the best MS drug I have ever been on. If I can keep up my quality of life the way Tysabri has allowed me to It is worth the small risk of PML.
