I CURRENTLY TAKE TRAMADOL 50 MG X 2--BID--IT DOES HELP WITH THE ARTHRITIS PAIN, BUT CAUSES INSOMNIA---I DO NOT LIKE TO TAKE MEDS AT NIGHT FOR INSOMNIA--SO I AM STILL AWAKE 4-6 HOURS AFTER I TAKE MY PM DOSE--I DO TRY TO TAKE IT EARLIER, BUT IT DOESN'T LAST TILL THE AM

My doctor prescribed Tramadol for arthritis pain. I have low back pain, neck pain and pain in hands and fingers. I only take one Tramadol at night to enable me to sleep as I find it hard to get comfortable without help. I also take a mild muscle relaxer along with it - Robaxin. Both have been prescribed by my doctor and both can be taken up to four times daily but, as stated, I only use once in the evening and it helps me a great deal.
