In 2006, I became a paraplegic from a epideral. 3 months after i almost died 2x from massive blood clots in both lungs (bilateral pulminary embolism) is what they called it. It took 2 days on high dose of anti blood clotting medicine TPA, and now I am indefinitly on warfrin. I sometimes get chest pains mid afternoon, only a few hours from taking warfrin. once i take dose at dinner time the pain is gone with in the hour.this happens very often, same symptoms. \anyone else ever get this?

I have been taking coumadin since 1997 due to an artificial heart valve. In 2001 the doctor prescribed azithromycin because of a severe ear infection. This caused internal bleeding. In local hospital for two days, then transferred to a regional hospital. After much treatment and several pints of blood the bleeding was stopped. I spent two weeks in the hospital. Now if I am having any type of surgery they take me off coumadin and put me on lovanox. Female age 80 and doing fine.

I have been taking Coumadin (Warfarin) for 7 years now after congestive heart failure and A-Fib without a single problem. I'm checked every month and 10 min. of my time every 30 days is well worth it.
