Global Patient Feedback for Yaz (Gianvi)

I was on Yaz for about a year for PCOS and had not issues other than a little weight gain, but otherwise loved it. After that I tried a few other types of birthcontrol and I am now back on Yaz. However my insurance does not cover it so I was given Gianvi the generic. I have been on Gianvi only one full month and my only complaint is headaches everyday. Its like I am lightheaded all the time. I am not sure if I should give it another month or go back to Yaz?????? Any thoughts??

Yaz didn't work for me. I took it for the first month and water tasted funny to me. I started to lose weight and food tasted strange too. During the second month I broke out all over. I was itching and bruised all over except on my face. When I went to the allergist he checked my blood levels. My cholestoral had increased and there were many other issues. He recommended me to a rheumatologist and at that point, the bruises had lightened up, but were still visible. There my blood levels were checked and he told me that if I decide to have children I may need to take blood thinners. He told me to stop taking the pills and the next day I felt 100% better. Come to find out it was drug induced breakouts. Yaz was not for me!

After taking Yaz, which I loved otherwise, I began to experience severe joint pain (shoulders/hands). I switche to a different pill for other reasons and found almost all my pain was gone...I still have a occasional pain but nothing like when on Yaz...think it was the hormone levels (perimenopausel).
