I was given Zofran to fight nausea after having my gallbladder removed. I think its SWEET!!! I only vomited twice after my surgery! I didn't like the 'knocked out' feeling Phenergan gave me for three days following. Though there's still a lot to be found out about Zofran, its a really good alternative to Phenergan. I'd recommend it to anyone that has no known adverse reactions to it.

I was prescribed this for severe nausea in early pregnancy. It works ok. I still have to supplement it with ginger capsules and ginger ale, and even with all that AND a controlled diet, the nausea does not ever completely go away. I'm just praying the rest of my first trimester passes quickly so I can get past this. For those of you who have to deal with this on a daily or permanent basis, I am so sorry. It's an awful feeling.

after a near fatal salmonella sepsis episode my nausea is a constant companion. the illness was 5 years ago. if it weren't for zofran I don't know how I'd manage. compazine is 'dangerous.' thank G-d they dropped the price of zofran (it was almost $100.00 per dose when I first took it - about 12 yrs ago.)
