Teva Recalls Select Lots of Amoxicillin for Oral Suspension, 400 mg/5 mL

Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. has recalled three lots of Amoxicillin for Oral Suspension, 400 mg/5 mL, in 100 mL bottles. Lot numbers 35409398A, 35410920A, and 35411610B have been recalled because routine testing found that the amount of active ingredient was too low in some bottles from these lots. This recall is in addition to a recent recall of Amoxicillin for Oral Suspension, 250 mg/5 mL.

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic used to treat infections. Amoxicillin is sold under other brand names and as different formulations such as capsules. This recall alert only applies to the select lots of the generic Amoxicillin for Oral Suspension, 400 mg/5 mL from Teva Pharmaceuticals. No other products were involved in this recall.
