Safety Alerts & Recalls

What does this mean?

Early signs of liver damage can be detected using simple liver function tests. Ensure that your doctor is aware of today's FDA warning, and that your liver function is checked frequently - especially if you have started Natalizumab recently. Also, watch for early signs of jaundice (including yellowing of the eyes and changes in urine color) and report them to your doctor immediately.

Risk of Clinically Significant Liver Injury

The FDA today notified health professionals that it has received reports of clinically significant liver damage from patients taking Natalizumab, with many cases occurring as early as six days after starting treatment.
