This recall for Terazosin 5 mg capsules was issued at a warehouse/retail level only and is now complete. The FDA and the manufacturer determined that any recalled product that may have been dispensed to patients does not pose a significant health risk. If you take Terazosin 5 mg capsule and are concerned, you should consult with your physician, especially if you think your medicine is not working as well or if you are experiencing side effects from your medicine.

This is also good reminder to always check your prescriptions before you leave your pharmacy. If your capsules or tablets look different than what you normally receive, check with your pharmacist to confirm that you were given the correct medication.

Cadista Has Completed Its Recall Of Terazosin 5 mg Capsules

Cadista Pharmaceuticals, Inc has finished its recall of a single lot of Terazosin HCl Capsules, 5 mg. Lot number 9P050 was recalled because this lot may have been packaged with two dosage strengths of the same drug.

Terazosin is commonly used in the treatment of high blood pressure and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)). It is also sold under the brand name Hytrin. This recall alert only applied to the single lot of the generic Terazosin 5 mg capsules from Cadista. No other Terazosin or Hytrin products were involved in this recall.
