This recall for Our Family Ibuprofen Caplets, 200 mg from LNK International was issued at a warehouse/retail level only. Recall of Our Family Ibuprofen Caplets 200 mg
LNK International, Inc. is recalling several lots of Our Family Ibuprofen Caplets, 200 mg, 24 Caplets per bottle, sold over-the-counter (OTC). These lots are being recalled because the directions on the outer box are wrong and lack the word "not", and thereby incorrectly reading "Do exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor". This should read: "Do not exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor".
The lot numbers and expiration dates (exp) involved in the recall include: P51376 (exp. 5/31/2010), P53094 (exp. 9/30/2010), P55188 (exp. 1/31/2011), P55779 (exp. 3/31/2011), P56537 (exp. 4/30/2012), P56539 (exp. 4/30/2012), P56629 (exp. 4/30/2012), P57769 (exp. 6/30/2012), and P59645 (exp. 9/30/2012).
Ibuprofen is commonly used to treat minor aches, pains and fevers. This recall alert only applies to the select lots of the Our Family Ibuprofen Caplets, 200 mg, 24 Caplets per bottle. These bottles were sold in Ohio and South Dakota. No other ibuprofen products were involved in this recall.
